1. Set examples by personal standards and always lead from the front.
2. Have empathy but do not show pity.
3. Develop employees not only in skill but also in knowledge and personal qualities.
4. Develop creative thinking and innovation in manufacturing. Always strive for improvements. Successful innovation comes from doing small small things greatly.
5. Training and continuous training not only in profession but also in all the matters not directly related to profession but to their personalities and day to day affairs.
6. Always not only be fair in your dealings but also appear to be fair.
7. Do not hire for skill but for character, attitude and aptitude.
8. Set examples by your personal integrity and keep it as a core value of your work culture.
9. Always operate within the four walls of law.
10. Always have loyalty towards your values and inculcate and sustain a work culture based on values.
11. Remember it is not only important to achieve the objectives/goals but equally and sometimes more important is the manner of achieving them.
12. Hope for the best but always be prepared for the worst.
13. Maintain consistency in the process of doing things. Always strive for better performance.
14. Build quality into the inputs by involving the vendors in the process. Reduce dependency on inspections.
15. Do not compromise with the quality of the products manufactured. Do not lower your standards but always not only try to maintain but to constantly review your standards in order to meet the new expectations and newer levels of quality.
16. Do not benchmark but use your own performance as a base for further improvements.
17. Minimize cost at all levels but not at the cost of efficiency and quality. Cut down rejections and wastage's.
18. Break down the barriers in the organisations.Every member of the staff must work on the shop floor for one hour each day. Institute procedures that will allow frequent interactions between various departments and the members must spend time in each other’s work places in order to understand their problems and try to develop a strong team.
19. Eliminate objectives and KR A's but substitute them by leadership.
20. Let the people have joy and take pride in their work.
21. Develop loyalty and trust between different departments and between the suppliers and the organization. Develop long term relationships.
22. Institute training on the job.
23. Supervision should be gradually phased out. Empower employees, give them accountability and responsibility so that they can function better.
24. Always be present where the action is. Do not merely sit in the office but go where the action takes place.
25. Decrease controls allow more empowerment, creativity and flexibility.
26. Keep moving even if you are on the right track, do not look back, do not compare. The aim is to do better and better.
27. Discipline and punctuality are the key issues.
